AWWA Cal Poly - SLO

We have recently rebranded to WaterWorks so you might know us as Rainworks

AWWA Cal Poly SLO  — more commonly known as Cal Poly WaterWorks — is a water resources club at Cal Poly and a student chapter of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). Our goal is to further awareness of sustainable water management practices by connecting students to academic and professional opportunities. Each year, we host guest speakers, take part in the EPA’s Annual Campus RainWorks Challenge, collaborate on hands-on water-related projects, participate in volunteering opportunities, and more.

We emphasize the need to better understand water resources in relation to built and natural environments. Global climate change is unfolding before us and we want to be part of mitigating and improving the impact humans are having on the world.

We are a group of students who care about water and get together to discuss how to best preserve and manage it. We meet every other Thursday in Engineering IV, room 136.
